Come and experience Liberty Kitchen
The original Liberty Kitchen, Liberty Kitchen Oyster Bar (LKHH) opened in the Houston Heights in November 2010. The goal then and now was to create a casual and beautiful restaurant that reflected the neighborhood and focused on the bounty of foods from the Gulf Coast. Liberty Kitchen is a place to drop in for a quick meal, your regular spot to meet friends or a place to celebrate a special occasion, it’s comfortable and welcoming all year round.
We’re serious about food and hospitality. We cook with fresh, quality, local products and daily fish deliveries from the gulf. Seafood is our specialty, the oyster bar offers a selection from the Gulf, East and West Coasts. Fish, Steaks, Spare Ribs, Chicken, Burgers and occasionally a Whole Pig are all deliciously roasted on our charcoal and wood burning grill. LKHH is where we developed our trademark varieties of Macaroni and Cheese with special toppings, some of the favorites being Pork Belly and Lobster. We proudly serve our House-made Bacon Jam and our Freedom Stings Pepper Sauce. There is a little bit of everything to please every palate, including a healthy Kids Menu.
No, seriously. Give me Liberty Kitchen & Oyster Bar’s burger on a Slow Dough bun; a skillet of mac & cheese loaded with cheddar, shrimp, sausage, bacon and chiles; wood-fire grilled Alabama catfish with remoulade; or a hefty porterhouse steak with herb butter. And bring on a platter of some of the briniest oysters in town. I want it all from this newcomer in the Heights conceived by the team that gave us BRC Gastropub. “EAT” shouts the tall sign marking this casual, fresh-faced eatery. We don’t need to be told twice, especially since there are so many craveables that chef Lance Fegen has stuffed into the menu that suggests a New England oyster bar with a huge crush on the Gulf Coast and a frequent flyer’s lust for travel.Greg Morago
